The town park was created thanks to a magnificent plan by the garden architect Jan Hahmann in 1878, when he had plane, oak, maple and elm trees planted and supplemented with paths, water features and flower beds. In 1974, the park was redesigned and named in honour of the composer Antonín Dvořák, who is commemorated by a monument by sculptor Karel Kuneš. There are two hundred-year-old memorial trees in the park: the Orchard plane tree with a circumference of 452 cm and the Dvořák plane tree with a circumference of 472 cm.
